In cutting and grinding fluids, PEG400 serves as a cooling and lubricating agent, effectively preventing workpiece overheating caused by friction-generated heat during machining. By forming a lubricating film between the tool and the workpiece, it reduces friction-induced heat. Simultaneously, its good thermal conductivity helps dissipate heat quickly, providing a cooling effect. This not only enhances machining precision but also results in a smoother workpiece surface, improving the overall quality of the product.
